New Furlough Missionary House at Harmony Baptist
Churches of Parker Baptist Association will cooperate to build a new house to be used by missionary families on furlough.  Over the past ten years, the little frame house near the church has hosted about a dozen missionary families from all over the world.  Now, the house is in need of more repair than practical, so a decision was made to build a new house.  NSBC Missions Team allocated the remainder of our missions account last year for this project, almost $19,000, as an incentive to other churches to participate.  Fund-raising has begun by Direct or Missions John Thielepape, with hopes of raising $40,000 more by late Spring.
Please pray, give, and plan to help when this build starts.
Construction Starts March 25th
The foundation will be poured and ready for framing to begin on the new furlough missionary house at Harmony Baptisit Church on Tuesday March 25.  Volunteer Christian Builders from Northside (Wayne Schickedanz, Ken Robb, Jim Donald, and Mike Martin) will be lead builders and lots of helpers will be needed from churches all over the county.  Our church will also be providing a noon meal once a week for the building crew.  Soon, you will have the opportunity to sign up for a work crew or to help with meals.  We rejoice that this project is finally underway!

Volunteer Christian Builders to Construct New Oklahoma Parsonage
Wayne Schickedanz, head of VCB, has announced plans to help build a new parsonage for a church that is relocating in Wilson, OK.  This will happen the second week in June.  More details on schedule, lodging, etc. coming soon.

Vermont Partnership Possibility
A team from Parker Baptist Association will travel to Vermont in late April to investigate the possibility of forming a partnership with the 35 churches state-wide there.  Vermont is the second-least churched state in the USA after Montana.  The team will report the types of help requested and plans will be formulated for 2008 and following if the Association takes on this ministry.

Local Nursing Home Ministries Has Begun
HD Peters is now leading a Bible Study at Santa Fe Health and Rehab Center, with other opportunities coming soon, including use of pets in visitation with center residents.  We are also locating nursing center residents who have no family locally and will welcome visits from our church family.  Several members have signed on to participate and you are welcome to join us.  Contact Burton Cook for more details.
