What is MOPS?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a program designed for mothers with children from ages birth to kindergarten.
MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms; stay-at-home and working moms; married, single, teen, and non-traditional moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!
MOPS began in 1973 in Denver, CO. Today, over 3,200 groups meet nationwide in 33 countries around the world, reaching 100,000 women and their families. Mothers of Preschoolers lead MOPS groups, so they have the chance to develop their leadership skills through experience and excellent training opportunities.
MOPS International encourages and supports moms through resources such as books, our website, MOMSense Radio & Magazine, and the MOPS to Mom Connection.
